FORMER ORANGE COUNTY DEPUTY PUBLIC DEFENDER
Mr. Medina is a former Orange County Deputy Public Defender. While in the Public Defender’s Office, Mr. Medina handled thousands of criminal matters ranging from DUI’s to Third Strike cases.
During his seven years with the Public Defender’s Office, Mr. Medina cultivated a reputation of honesty and integrity with the local bench as well as the Orange County District Attorney’s Office.
In 2001, Mr. Medina’s impeccable reputation and effectiveness as a trial lawyer earned him the highly prestigious 2001 Orange County Public Defender of the Year Award.
After leaving the Public Defender’s Office in 2004, Mr. Medina opened his own practice in Santa Ana. The enormous success of this practice is directly attributed to Mr. Medina’s professional reputation, intimate knowledge of the Orange County legal community, and his effectiveness as an aggressive litigator.
It is with this background that Mr. Medina continues to provide highly effective and professional representation to hundreds of clients with cases ranging from simple DUI’s to special circumstance homicides.
AREAS OF PRACTICE:
Mr. Medina handles all major crimes including but not limited to homicides, kidnapping, assault, all drug offenses, all theft offenses, driving under the influence, and all misdemeanor matters.
Mr. Medina also handles all DMV Hearings with respect to DUI, Negligent Operators, and Mental and Physical Defects.
Civil Harassment Protective Orders and representation of crime victims are included in Mr. Medina’s practice areas.

Represented numerous criminal defendants and clients in a wide range of cases including homicides, third strike cases, all drug offenses, domestic violence, hate crimes, assaults, driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol, theft related cases, and all juvenile matters.
Handled all aspects of DMV administrative hearings including driving under the influence, negligent operator, and physical and mental defects.
Represented clients before administrative boards in the areas of law enforcement, education, and various professional licenses.
Handled Civil Harassment and Domestic Violence restraining order hearings.
Practice includes Orange, Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, Inyo, and Mono counties.
